Truth. Yours or mine? Absolute or variable?
I'm sure that anybody who reads this will have their own sort of truth mostly different from mine. I don't intend to sway others toward my way of thinking, but I am going to get somethings off my chest. As I attempt this little project I will tell of some folks around me, past and present, who have had extreme influences on me and my family and our beliefs. My truth as I've received and developed it. I think I have it correct now. It's taken me over 50 years to get to these conclusions. Now, I discover, for every one answer to life, I find two questions yet to be answered.
I intend to use "bad" words in context, and "bad" examples to explain. What I discovered is that parents, grandparents, children, friends, although they have such strong influences on yours and my life, many times have "bad" or wrong information. A quick example is, "Wait a half hour before you go swimming so you don't get a belly ache and drown!" For crying out load, I've gone swimming and ate at the same time and didn't so much as pass gas! I might have passed some methane but it's not the same thing, now, is it? Was the information "bad" or wrong?
I'm going to stop here and revisit, add and check comments because I'd like to see the various responses. To be continued...
