Atheism rules

The following is either going to be laughable or boring to almost everybody who reads this. Judging by the amount of comments from past posts, I seriously doubt this will be read by either. Since I've not told anybody about these blogs, even my kids will not see it unless they accidentally find it.



I just read some chunks of a popular Atheist site. If you're not an atheist, don't go there. It will only confuse you, make you weak in your belief, or convert you to believe that your eternal destination is worm poo or star dust at best. I'm a public school educated fool so I speak simply. Most people hear simply. That's OK. So here goes another tackle about something 4 billion people believe I should leave alone and stay in my little uncommitted, quiet hole, like the common people in the book "1984"(Don't read it either if you are a conspiracist). Should I give up my beliefs because someone tells me I'm wrong? They say I need to be correct in my beliefs or at least promote them and their beliefs somewhere beyond mere tolerance. I am not going to get into all the 'arguments' for or against any belief except I will gently talk about my own. Don't believe me because I say anything. Remember, I'm public-school educated. Find your own proofs but make sure they make sense.



Here goes:

Jesus is not another 'god'. He is God. God is Him. The first commandment is still in effect. God has exhibited himself to us in many ways. Of course this is biblical information but the Bible says He has been with us directly as in the Garden of Eden, the word and action of Judges, Prophets, Pastors, Missionaries, talking donkeys, burning bushes, pillars of smoke and fire, and other forms. Those forms helped intelligent people of those times to be convinced of him and his desires. Jesus was a liar, criminal, or delusional, which in turn makes us delusional, stupid, or cultic. The other option that I believe is God said through time that He was sending the Messiah. Jesus fulfilled all of the Messianic predictions from through out the Bible up to the time of his Ascension. Judaism is the "Branch of The Vine". Christianity is a "grafted branch of The Vine". Jesus is The Vine. God the Father is the Vineyard Keeper. Our job is to bear fruit for the Glory of the Vineyard Keeper. How do we do that? By gently, and with prayer and education, speak about our salvation and work of our Lord openly with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and strangers. Why is salvation necessary and what is it? I'll put that answer in another blog so that info is at the beginning and on top of the page so, hopefully, it catches someones eye and they will read it and respond.

Black or White man?

When I was in elementary school and it was time to use the box of colors, I remember trying to draw and color people. At first I colored white people with a 'White' color but was disappointed. I did not look like that. One of the smart girls in class sat next to me and she said to use the 'Flesh' color. It did not look like me. Another time I tried to color a black man on my paper. I used a 'Black' color. I did not remember seeing a person that looked like that either. I was disappointed with my artistic effort again.

I began forming my thoughts about race in elementary school art class. I tried to mix basic colors to get other colors, you know, red+blue = purple, red+white = pink. I mixed black and white colors to get a 'properly' colored man on my art paper. I never saw a 'Gray' man. I was disappointed again. It's the art of observation (peeking at other students papers) that helped me get it right. I saw a paper with brown men and light brown men (closer to my appearance). That's what I started to do (copy).

I discovered we say stupid things about race, ALL of us. 'Nigger' (yes, it is a vile word and should not be used by anyone!) is used and has been determined to be so bad that only dark brown people are authorized to use it. 'Red' and 'Yellow', 'Black' and 'White' people have never existed either. What colors should we tell the elementary students to use in art class? What labels should we use to describe our origins in Social Studies classes? African-American could be used to describe Egyptians who immigrate here. African-American could be used to describe White SouthAfricaans who immigrate here also. I would never use European-American about myself.

History is past. We are here and have, by birth, or legal immigration become 'Americans'. What color are Americans? I say 'Brown' and all shades of brown. All of us need to get a bit smarter than our ancestors. Stop using incorrect, insulting, abusive, combative labels. Recolor the little man on your art work.

I have to add this now that I reread the post.

There have indeed been billions of people on the earth over all these centuries tallied together.

Islam is the 'New kid on the block' since it began only about 623 AD or (CE if you would rather use that).

True christians consider Judaism to be the tree and Christianity to be the branch grafted to that tree. Christ is the root. Another way to say this is Jews are the Christians' elders.

Judaism is thousands of years, not ONE thousand years, older than Christianity or Islam.

Muslims do NOT consider themselves either Christian nor Jew and are insulted when they are equated with other religions. In fact, religiously speaking, they despise us.

Atheists do not need protection from Christians, it's the other way around. Atheists would, and are now trying, to pass laws to greatly reduce the influence and activity of any religion, especially Christianity.

I still say that many Christians do more harm than good and would do better if they sat on their hands, kept their lips pressed together and remained quiet while reeducating themselves about basic bible truths.

I still say, also, that debates between Christians and Atheists are entertaining to audiences at best, usually frustrating to both sides and always useless. One exception to this is Ray Comfort and his Comfort blog, known as 'Atheist Central'. He refers to these people as 'His Atheist Freinds'. He is, after all, a class act and a cool brother to have, I mean spiritual since I'm otherwise an only child. I love this guy. I will definitely meet him eventually.
